Problem:
The client was using Excel documents to manage scheduling, invoicing, customer contact information, notes, vendor contact information and accounts payable information. This information needed to be updated on a weekly basis and took 2-3 days per week to maintain. The information then needed to be consolidated to a charting and reporting Excel document to deploy to their clients for weekly/monthly/yearly review.
Solution
- Develop internal windows forms client server application using C# / MSSQL to assist with, staff scheduling, document management, Contact Management, Client management, Affiliate management, Invoicing / AR, Reporting
- Develop web portal using ASP.NET / C# / MSSQL to allow for clients to view both custom and canned reports from internal software
- Develop maintenance mechanisms using Web Services to populate Web Portal from Client Server System
- Deploy internal reports using the .NET built in reporting engine
- Use SOA to deploy one business logic code base for Web Portal, Client Server and Web Services layers
